Microorganisms are indispensable for the biological filtration of aquarium water – bacteria gradually convert toxic organic waste products such as nitrite and ammonia into harmless substances. Our concentrated Kick Filter Start bacteria in tablet form becomes active immediately after addition. Concentrated microorganisms activate the substrate and filter. This can reduce the running-in period of the aquarium to around one week – depending on the water values. Selected trace elements support the water-clarifying bacteria in their development and help the aquarium to get off to a good start. Kick Filter Start is given once to activate the filter in new aquaria or whenever the biological filter performance decreases.
